I have not "tried it all".  I've always felt like I knew what the secret to a healthy body was: burn more calories than you take in and I figured I was just too weak to stick with it.  I have tried Weight Watchers several times before and it has worked, but I've never kept the weight off long haul. 
 
I started to have persistent aches and pains that never went away and I decided (and my body agreed) that we were supporting as much weight as was possible and something needed to be done.  At the end of last summer I picked up a Memphis Flyer and saw the ad for Memphis Adventure Boot Camp.  This seemed liked the kick in the pants I needed. 
 
I participated in the first two boot camps and immediately had more energy, I felt stronger, my aches and pains were all but gone, and despite two entire months of rain, I was pretty darn upbeat!  But the weight was not coming off like I hoped.  I figured that since I was working my butt off I didn't really need to be so vigilant about the nutritional aspect of boot camp; I was wrong!  During our "off week" between camps two and three I decided to change that.  I started tracking the fat/carb/protein ratios of my food, eating every 3-4 hours and my metabolism has kicked in to high gear!  Memphis Adventure Boot Camp has helped me develop eating and exercise habits that are starting to become second nature; "it's 5 a.m., time to wake up and exercise!".  There are no shortcuts to losing body fat, you need to eat healthfully and eat to support muscle growth and get your body moving!  The encouragement from Dexter and his staff and most of all, the other boot campers is awesome and with their help I feel confident I am creating a life long habits that will help me live a long and healthy life!

You don't have to do anything you haven't done before...simply be part of boot camp. More specifically, the next 3 boot camps. If you are a one-on-one client, just continue until April 2.(Platinum Campers can participate, but are only eligible for the $250 Gift Certificate).

Here's the deal:

Commit to the first 3 boot camps in 2010 (Jan 4th, Feb 8th, March 15th) by Thursday, December 31th.

There are two ways to commit:

Save 10% by committing to enroll by Monday, January 4, 2010.
$807.30 paid in full for 5 days/week (Value $897)
$672.30 paid in full for 4 days/week (Value $747)
$537.30 paid in full for 3 days/week (Value $597)
Agree to an automatic monthly withdrawal enrollment of the 1st payment at checkout, 2nd February 1st, & 3rd March 1st:
$299.00 per month for 5 day/week option
$249.00 per month for 4 day/week option
$199.00 per month for 3 day/week option

Note: one-on-one clients, the fee structure  will be built to the number of days you commit, ie your series.

Everyone who enters the Transformation Contest is in the same "group" -- you can of course choose the 5, 4, or 3 day/week option...the only "advantage" to those doing more days is you have more days in the week to ensure you're working hard. But everyone is "judged" by the same rules and same measurements, regardless of the option selected.

Here's how you win:

  1. You have to agree to a before and after picture in something that would show improvement (e.g., bathing suit, sports bra and shorts, etc). If your gut reaction to that is FEAR and PANIC...that's a perfect incentive to create the body you want.
  2. You will have your body fat, circumference, and body weight measured (normal assessments)
  3. You will have 4 timed physical tests - 1-mile run, pushups, timed plank, and timing through an obstacle course on a date and time we will announce to everyone.

All of these tests will be measured on percentage of improvement so results can be compared from person to person. Therefore, your starting point doesn't improve (or hurt) your chances -- our goal is to see the percentage of improvement over time.
